- I attended at least 4 looooong musical practices and tweaked costumes.
- I attended dress rehearsal and 3 performances, all of which were at least 3 hours.
- I knitted half of mom's second sock.
- I knitted a few rows on the prayer shawl.
- I charted a new lace pattern for a stole for a friend.
- I worked on the triangle shawl pattern a bit.
- I bought a little bit of yarn and resisted some more.
- I got sicker than a dog and looked horrible enough for people to comment on it.
- I layed on the couch for two days doing nothing because I felt as rotten as I apparently looked. (I HATE being sick!)
- I made my bed for the first time in about 4 days. (If you knew me well, you would know that I RARELY-as in almost NEVER- leave my bed unmade. That is how crazy busy and sick I was.)
- I bought my first and only Christmas present this weekend. (Could I have an extension please?)
- I now have to wash and sort some musical costume stuff so I still don't have time to take pics and write a better post.
I am so thankful I don't have to cook the turkey this week! I don't have the energy. I will try very hard to take some pics in the next couple of days so my blog doesn't look so boring. Sigh.
Oh, just to add a little excitement.......there might be a contest coming up..........stay tuned.

Talk about crazy busy! I'm so sorry you were too sick to even knit while you were on the couch.
oh my! I am so sorry to hear you have been ill -- let alone too ill to knit! I do hope things settle down for you. If you find a way to get more time - let me know! I could use it!!
Geez Lisa, you have had a time, haven't you? Try to get some time for yourself, will you? Some rest and relaxation? Even if all you want is to lie on the couch and eat bon-bons :)
That would be more amusing if I had any idea of what a bon-bon was!
It's good to hear from you though :)
Sorry to hear you were sick; I hope you're feeling better now.
Glad you are feeling better. I don't have to cook turkey either. Just have to show up with a couple cooked veggies and some pies.
So sorry you've been sick.
It takes forever to feel normal again after a bug like that, so take care of yourself and don't overdo. Glad you don't have to cook the big meal. Sympathy.
I'll be glad when the holidays are over and we can just hunker in for the rest of the winter.
If it takes awhile to get back up to par, it's normal and it's okay. I once had double pneumonia for four months when my kids were pretty little, and my third grader learned how to microwave a can of ravioli. And now--I look at the Kaffe Fassett coat I managed to knit through that, and think, I did manage to accomplish something during all that. Good. (Don't you love knitting? It Stays Done.)
And my daughter learned that she could really help and really be needed as she did so.
Meantime, get better!
