Accidental hiatus?

Wow! It's been almost a month. That is the longest I have gone without blogging. I guess I unintentionally took a break. I am finally catching up here. My committee responsibilities are almost finished, graduation is over and things are getting easier. My daughter's open house is next week followed by her Spanish class trip to Mexico and then it's summertime fun! I can't wait.

I have been knitting and spinning a little, but not as much as I would have liked. I just finished this skein:
It's from Crown Mountain Farms, one of the discontinued corriedale pencil rovings. For the life of me I can't remember the colorway, but it's all shades of purple. I really love this one. 8oz and about 475 yds. I think it's probably around dk or light worsted. Any ideas for a project?

I have an almost finished Rusted Root too. I am so close on this one. I need to finish one sleeve and then do the neck and it's done!

I'm bummed that you can see where I wove in some ends, but I think that will block out fine. When I pull it tight with my fingers, it doesn't show at all. It's so cute. Now I just hope it fits! (I'm ashamed to admit, I am too chicken to try it on. Silly.)

Now I am happily spinning away on some more fiber from Crown Mountain Farms. This is the superwash and it drafts like a dream. I'm excited to ply this one and see how the colors play out.

It's looking very nice so far. One of these days I need to knit some projects from my handspun. For now though, I am just content to look at it and know that I made it.

I adore that purple yarn. It's perfectly spun.

Rusted Root is so cute! I can't wait for a modeled shot.

I'm so jealous of your CMF! I was really hoping they'd be at MDSW. Alas, I'll have to order online. That's if I can ever decide on the color I want.

You are so talented all around Lisa, I love it! I can't believe the roving you are spinning now is what it is on the bobbin! Very cool!!! I've missed your blogging but I've liked logging on to see my name at the top each time, lol!!!
Have a good weekend, WOW can you believe it's already the weekend?! Take Care!

You had good reason to take a hiatus, accidental or not! Glad that you are back... now I suppose I need to blog too. Love your handspun, we all strive to be thin like Lisa;-) Have a great weekend. I can't wait to see you on Monday!

All the shades of purple in your yarn make my mouth water - so beautiful!

And your little sweater is so cute :)

Seems like you've been having fun on your hiatus!

I think that colorway might be Azure Sky. It looks just like an older colorway that I spun.

Rusted Root looks good! It might look even better on. :)

thank goodness you're on the other side of graduation! Your spinning is incredible, I love the purples. My brain is dead, but if it wakes back up and I can think of a project worthy of your spinning, I'll let you know!

Your spinning looks awesome. How about a cowl from that corriedale? or a cowl and some fingerless mitts?
I think that color was purple haze. I have some that I spun too.
Love that little top. I hope the place you wove in ends smooths out.
