Hello?

Are you there? Have you all left me? I miss you guys! I think about 1/2 of my whole 8-9 regular readers have abandoned me. Come back!!!!! I will be good, I promise.

I have been knitting actually. I even finished my cardi. Here it is (pre-blocking), I just need to figure out the best way to close it.
(Marguerite, I even showed my head this time lol.) My daughter took this pic, and she was making me laugh.

I do like the little ribbon for a closure, even though I just grabbed it for an example. Who knows, I may just leave it like that. I don't particularly like the way the buttons are set on the original pattern. I probably wouldn't wear it buttoned up anyway, so a little tie like this might be the answer. Any other ideas for me? Maybe something other than ribbon to tie it with?

I am also test knitting some socks for a friend of mine. I just love this pattern so far.
She might have it available sometime soon. I am even using a not-so-favorite yarn, and I still love them. I was a little farther than this, but noticed a mistake and had to frog a bit. I hope she can be patient with me....these are going to be gorgeous!

My little dog got a haircut this week. I just love him!

Your cardi is beautiful. I'm new to the blogs and I'm so impressed with all I'm seeing. I haven't been brave enough to knit anything clothing to wear yet - too worried about gauge and size. I've been sticking to bags, blankets, bibs, booties, hats, socks. I'll get there. Your work is great!

Don;t know that I have ever commented, but I read your blog. where in Michigan do you live? I have family in the Traverse City area and plan on moving there within the next year.BTW, I like the tie.

Beautiful! And the cardi is quite nice too. ;-)

How about attached I-cord ties?

The cardi is cute! The ribbon tie works, or like another commenter suggested, maybe i-cord ties?

I'm still here! What a great picture of you! The cardigan looks great, and I think the ribbon closure looks fabulous - you should keep it like that.

Congratulations on your finished cardi, it is beautiful! It looks like the socks you are test knitting are going to be beautiful too!

Oh, that's so cute on you! I didn't give a glance at this project in the magazine, but now I like it! I like the ribbon as well, I didn't like the pattern buttons. Good job!

The cardi looks great! I think the ribbons works wonderfully but you could use a single button (something special and fun?) and loop closure for the same effect.

That sock does look very interesting indeed! Please keep us posted on pattern availability?

Happy spring!

I love your cardi! And what a gorgeous shot of you. Well done!

The cardi came out great - the ribbon works well as a closure, I don't see how buttons would add anything. You should add your head more often as you have nothing to hide (but I do the same thing too). Your Brodie is a sweetie :)

The cardi looks so nice. I definitely like the ribbon closure that you have in the picture, but maybe in matching yarn? I'll NEVER be able to knit something like that - I just know it. :o)
